“We shape our tools and then our tools shape us.” Winston Churchill*
I'm on a mission to inspire people and organizations to find flow and perform at their best. I work with small, purpose-driven companies to create systems, practices, and tools that propel them towards their goals.
Real transformation starts from the inside out. It starts with each of us taking an honest look in the mirror and asking how we're helping or hindering progress, how we're showing up for others, and how we're demonstrating our values.
When the intrinsic motivators of curiosity, passion, autonomy, mastery, and purpose come together, people perform their best and achieve things that would otherwise seem impossible. I help build organizations that are as capable as the people within them, unlocking the creativity, talent, and capability that is within each of us.
I aim to align my thoughts, words, and actions to be an integral partner you can trust, working with you to build a sustainable business that positively impacts the world.

My background is in agile software development in various roles and companies, coaching teams to discover better ways of working together. I have learned many lessons over the years, from wasteful practices that erode trust and effectiveness to those that cultivate collaboration and peak performance.
The Culture Coach idea was born from these experiences, and the desire to work with a wider range of teams and companies to create environments where people can perform their best.
When I'm not wearing the Culture Coach hat you'll find me on my bike in the beautiful Whakarewarewa forest in Rotorua, New Zealand, or spending time with my wife and two girls.

*The actual quote from Churchill was “We shape our buildings and afterwards our buildings shape us” in reference to restoring the bombed House of Commons during WWII, but it still works…
